Wondering about tomorrow's precipitation type? Look no further than the SPC

Remember last week when I mentioned that a rumble of thunder couldn't be ruled out when the storm arrived (for what I anticipated was Wednesday)?  Well, it's official: lower Michigan south of I-69 is under a general thunder risk tomorrow.

Yeowza. I can't recall the last time this happened at the beginning of February.

With that in mind, a big severe weather threat is manifesting for the Tennessee Valley. Thankfully it doesn't look like a major tornado outbreak will occur, but widespread damaging winds with a few tornadoes are likely for the enhanced risk regions.
