Chance of strong to potentially severe storms tomorrow worth a mention

The latest model guidance is suggesting some strong to severe thunderstorm potential in the Saginaw Valley, SE Michigan and the Thumb Area tomorrow afternoon.

According to the last few runs, storms will form right around peak heating time in said areas, and wind profiles should be strong enough to support at least some sustained updrafts in a rather unstable environment.  A fairly powerful if positively tilted upper level disturbance will cause a currently slow moving cold front to come through during that time. By Wednesday, highs should only reach the mid 70s, and the humidity should be on the way down. High pressure should then begin to take hold, along with pleasant weather.
