that post that I made about the potentially monstrous upper level disturbance that is forecasted by the GFS to affect the continental US mid September? Well, the 12z GFS just positioned it in what would be one of the best (worst?) possible places for wreaking havoc in Michigan:
Other factors would of course have to come into alignment to produce severe weather, and this is but one run out of half a dozen, so don't go thinking "uh oh" just yet. This thing could wind up anywhere. I'm fairly convinced that a storm system like this is going to produce severe storms SOMEWHERE, but
stranger things have happened.
