Chances of severe weather Thursday 08/13 to Friday 08/14 worth a mention

Unfortunately, I have news most people - especially those in the Thumb Area or northwest lower Michigan - aren't going to want to hear.  The GFS is beginning to indicate the possibility of more severe storms in Michigan this Thursday or Friday.

The last three runs of the GFS suggest at least a conditional likelihood of severe weather in the state by the end of this week.  The SPC also mentions the Great Lakes region in their day 4-8 outlook, but has not made any risk designations, as so predictability remains too low.
The good news is that so far, this doesn't look too alarming.  The ECMWF suggests this is possible, too, but suggests instability won't be quite as robust as the GFS is predicting.  That being said, it's worth a mention at this point, and I'm confident enough to believe that there'll be at least a chance for isolated severe weather in the state around this time.

I'll continue to monitor the situation and bring updates as they come.
