Severe thunderstorms beginning to look more likely Thursday, possibly Friday

My concern is growing a bit after seeing the latest NAM model's forecast depicting, as it usually does, a bit more moisture available for the upcoming scenario unfolding late this week in the Great Lakes region. Combined with that and the GFS hinting at the same thing, I'm upgrading my outlook to "Severe thunderstorms likely" for that time frame.

As usual, it's going to be all about timing.  So far, that's the biggest question mark in terms of what this system is going to do and how big the thunderstorms are going to grow.  Again, the setup isn't looking anywhere near as mean as it was last week just yet, so don't start putting boards up, but stay saavy this week and pay close attention to the local forecast Wednesday afternoon and evening.
