Rain and thunder likely today, but no severe

As expected, the SPC backed off a bit from their categorical outlook for SE Michigan, and now only the extreme southeast corner of the region is marked for even a marginal risk.

That being said, expect scattered rain and thunder throughout the state today.  Radar is already indicating convection across the Mid Michigan region, and north of Huron County over the lake. Boating today probably isn't a good idea with these storms still capable of gusty winds and lightning.
