Cool start to our week, followed by another hot, stormy weekend

Our summer is beginning to look more and more like a Great Plains spring, as the volatile, stormy upper air pattern continues.  Tuesday should be our coolest day this week, with day time highs struggling to approach 80, and lows both Monday and Tuesday nights in the 50s.

This will be a brief break, however, as by next weekend, temperatures should again push 90° with dewpoints in the 70s.  The GFS has also been pretty consistent in timing regarding a fairly strong storm system to our north, which is what will be pulling all this warm moist air into our area of the country. This should lead to another round of strong to severe storms, as instability should be plentiful.

I'll be keeping my eye on it.  Today's system was very disorganized and it was very difficult to predict what would happen.  We may be looking at that situation next week, or we could be looking at a stronger storm system which is more easy to predict.  The next few days should reveal more.
