SPC issues new day 2 outlook, Marginal Risk for severe wind/hail in Michigan tomorrow

I will say this - it's a nice feeling and a huge confidence booster when the pros see the same things you do and wind up coming to the same conclusions.

Per the SPC and not just me, isolated severe wind and hail are possible in southeast Michigan tomorrow evening.  The storms that come through in the morning are going to be remnants of what's currently producing tornadoes in Illinois, including a confirmed large wedge causing quite a bit of damage.  That's certainly not going to happen here tomorrow morning, but a fairly active squall line may still be holding at least somewhat together by the time it reaches eastern Michigan.

It looks like this might take place between 3-8am  I always recommend keeping a NOAA weather radio handy when thunderstorms are expected at night, and though I still don't anticipate the morning storms to be particularly strong, those on the western side of the state might want to.  Also, use your phone or other battery powered device as an alarm clock in case of a power outage. I've had that happen - and have been late to work as a result of it - in the past.
