Storm Prediction Center indicating severe weather outbreak, possible derecho for Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky

Not related to Michigan weather, but I just wanted to share so that we can all be grateful that we're looking to dodge the worst of this system.  The SPC is indicating a possible widespread severe wind event throughout the aforementioned states on Monday, as the cold front and associated thunderstorms that will come with it looks to plow southeastward.  They've even delineated a day-4 risk area further east along the same southeast line.

Widespread severe weather is possible in the hatched areas.  My feeling is that this outlook could go up to moderate in the coming days, at the very least.  If it appears as though a true derecho is going to form, a high risk could possibly even be issued.
A true progressive derecho will not dissipate entirely and can restrengthen.  Thus, the SPC has gone as far to highlight most of the southeastern US for Tuesday.
For those areas where the storms form initially, they could be looking at what we saw on June 22nd - that is, discrete supercells with a distinct tornado hazard.  Mid-range models have high SigTor indexes in some regions, which leads me to believe there'll be some possibly strong tornadoes in the highlighted regions.  This is likely to be a very nasty situation for people who reside in these areas. I'm praying for the safety of all, and that people remain vigilant regarding what's coming.
