Rain, possible severe thunderstorms back in the forecast for Sunday

I spoke too soon.

Latest NAM model runs are predicting widespread precipitation throughout the state Sunday, with all areas receiving a good soaking by the afternoon hours.  The bowing nature of the simulated radar indicates a possible thunderstorm squall line, and it may be a severe one.
Latest NAM4KM shows thunderstorms crossing the state right around 9am.
It looks as though lower Michigan may indeed see rain and possibly severe thunderstorms this Sunday after all.  Both the last three NAM runs and the latest NAM4KM are indicating as much. The models are indicating that the storm system may pick up some steam by Saturday night, and wind fields look to be strong enough to support at least some severe weather.  The rain/storms would arrive morning/mid day according to the data shown.  Bummer for the beach goers, but just maybe I'll be able to get out there and snap some cool storm photos.
