I'm somewhat surprised to see that these storms aren't quite weakening as expected. Surface observations indicated marginal instability and weak shear, however, here we are. The 00z NAM4KM run did suggest this was possible, and that the squall line may actually intensify as it crosses the state. Makes me wonder if a lake breeze is at work here.
